It is with a heavy heart I write to extend my condolences after learning of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Canada’s longest reigning Sovereign.
Her Majesty’s passing is a profound loss to the citizens of our province, and all Canadians, from coast, to coast, to coast.
For the past 70 years Her Majesty has reigned over our country with dignity, compassion, and respect. Her sense of duty and devotion to a life of public service will forever be cherished and admired.
The Queen’s sheer presence has brought joy, peace, and solidarity to individuals across the globe in some of the most challenging and divided times in history. An ability very few individuals will ever have, and one that is deeply respected.
On behalf the Third Party Caucus at the Prince Edward Island Legislative Assembly, we extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family and join Canadians across the country in mourning the loss of Queen Elizabeth II.
